Graphic Design to me is a wonderful activity; it's about creating a visual composition that fits the subject matter, as well as the intent with which you communicate about it. Working on a graphic design can be an intensive puzzle, particularly when you have to ensure a range of visual qualities. For example, a visual composition might have to grab the attention of the audience, as well as be easy to read, fit a certain brand, fit a specific printing process, make people think, etc.
During my Industrial Design education I've learned a lot about graphic design since it is tied closely to product design. Furthermore, I have also taught Photoshop and Indesign evening courses to other students on behalf of my study association.
